Picture this: It was during the pandemic, and like so many, I was deep in a baking phase, cranking out muffins like they were going out of style. When my father’s birthday rolled around, I decided to bake the perfect muffins to crown the breakfast table. But the universe had other plans. My muffins didn’t just bake—they imploded. I’m talking muffin carnage. Instead of a golden-brown batch of perfection, I pulledout a tray of deflated, crumbled chaos.

Cue the tears. There I was, mourning my muffin disaster, when my mother (the queen of silver linings) swooped in with an idea. “Why don’t we just crumble it up and add some whipped cream?” And like that, we turned a kitchen catastrophe into a delicious, accidental masterpiece. That pile of muffin rubble, paired with whipped cream and some quick thinking, became the unexpected star of the party.

In that moment, I learned a crucial life lesson: When life gives you crumbled muffins, throw on some whipped cream and call it dessert! What started as a flop turned into a brilliant new treat, and just like that, Muffin Crumbles was born.
